Since August 2010, two RotoLAB systems have been used in an automotive plant for continuous monitoring and correction of spray nozzles.
The application of PVC for seam sealing has already been done by robots for several years.
What is new is that the nozzle geometries used are becoming more and more complicated and the nozzles more and more sensitive. Hook nozzles will be used in future for sealing a beaded seam. These nozzles can be bent and cranked several times.
To ensure process reliability and interchangeability, the nozzles on the line are cyclically checked and corrected if necessary using TCP’s RotoLAB measuring system.
The RotoLAB system has been integrated into the plant since August 2010 and has been running without any problems since then. RotoLAB can measure up to 16 different nozzles.
